What's up? slackware.com currently down?

I'm from China.
This afternoon, I found that I can't open http://www.slackware.com, until now, I still get the message "The connection has timed out".
I thought that maybe there is something wrong with DNS or the dirty "GFW" blocked slackware.com. But I can browse any other sites normally. I also used an SSH tunnel proxy which is in the USA to browse slackware.com, still get the message "The connection has timed out".

Anyone else encountered this case?

Yes. The end of the world! :P
I get the favicon.ico, but that might be cached.

Yeah, it's been down all day. It's happened before, no need to panic.

Hi,

The machine went down without warning while several of us were logged into it late last night. It has done it before, and a power cycle brought it back. Of course, this time it's on a weekend, and I've called the co-lo and there may not be anyone available to bring it back up until Monday, possibly. Meanwhile, at least we got some updates out less than an hour before it went belly up.

Other hosts on the subnet ping, as does slackware.com's gateway, so we're thinking that either it's really frozen up or the PS may have failed. In any case, we know about it and will have it up again ASAP.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but at least it's not like we've been posting daily news stories. ftp.slackware.com is still up, and slackware.osuosl.org also has the latest updates (including a security patch for MySQL).

Take care,

Pat
