What's darkstar?


It's a common word I've seen in the Slackware forums. I'm just curious what it is. Thanks.

i think it used to be the default slackware hostname.

My friend had an old version of Slackware. I guess that's what it is.

It is a reflection of Patrick Volkerding's personality and likely the name of a computer he owned/owns.

good dead song.

link about GD's darkstar

patrick interview quite old but a good one. hard to imagine he followed the dead for a year.
