It's a common word I've seen in the Slackware forums. I'm just curious what it is. Thanks.

i think it used to be the default slackware hostname.

It is a reflection of Patrick Volkerding's personality and likely the name of a computer he owned/owns.

patrick interview quite old but a good one. hard to imagine he followed the dead for a year. :)
