I can't run current though, I get no audio, video or power management. I was running current until last month when everything broke. I had to go back to stock 13. I remember I had to install the kde3 compat and it worked before but for some reason it doesn't now.
I had issues also. Went back to version 1.0.5 of k3b and now everything works again. The only thing that I could see that had messed me up was upgrading k3b.
Hope this helps.
I installed the KDE 3 version of k3b (1.0.5) and installed all of the libraries in kde3-compat and removed the version of k3b that ships with Slackware 13.0. That works for me.
I installed the KDE 431 version of k3b (1.0.5) and installed all of the libraries in kde3-compat and removed the version of k3b that ships with Slackware 13.0. That works for me.
I installed the kde3-compat from extra but thats all I found in a search here but it still hangs at 99%.
The k3b that is installed with Slackware 13.0 was placed in /usr/bin/k3b (you can read this in the file /var/log/packages/k3b-r948463)
However, the k3b in extra/kde3-compat is placed in /opt/kde3/bin/k3b. (you can read this in the file /var/log/packages/k3b3-1.0.5-i486-opt1)
If you run k3b by clicking the icon of k3b in the menu, it might still point to the one in /usr/bin/k3b. You might want to use the Menu Editor and change the command from "k3b %U" to "/opt/kde3/bin/k3b %U"
