The reason I'm partial to ReiserFS over XFS is that Reiser is zero-slack - in other words, if you have a 2K file, it takes 2K, not a full 4K or 16K cluster. Now, 2K to 14K worth of slack is nothing to get worked up over, but multiply that slack by tens of thousands of files and the wasted, unusable space adds up VERY quickly.
If you are going to use windows on same computer, I recommend ext3 because it can be accessed from windows too. http://www.fs-driver.org/ However, I'm stick with old ext2 and don't have any problems. I think, that there isn't big difference what fs you will use unless your computer will be acting as a file server or smth similar. Have time, try all.

What is your proposal for movies and mp3 when formating reiserfs ?
2K , 4K or 16K ?
Well if you have say, 25,000 mp3s and you waste on average half a cluster or more in slack space, how many MP3s or fewer XVid files will you be able to fit on that drive? Even if it's just one video, when you hit the limit and need to copy just one more over but cannot due to the unoccupied-but-allocated space, it stinks.
