The shadow package contains them.

getty-ps is the getty packages I believe. util-linux includes agetty. util-linux also includes the login package that resides in /bin as well.

Oops, yeah, forgot that Slackware uses shadow packages for the login command. On Red Hat and Fedora it's usually included in the util-linux package.

Which package contains <insert filename here>?

It's commonly considered the best way to find this information is through
searching Slackware's MANIFEST.bz2 file. You can find this file on the
Slackware CD in the slackware directory or on a Slackware mirror. (Note
that in older distributions, the file is called MANIFEST.gz, and is
found in the slakware directory).

One way to search MANIFEST.bz2 is to type the following:

less -p filename MANIFEST.bz2
(press n for next match found. Press q to exit. If you're not using
Slackware to run this command, you may have to decompress the bz2 file
with bunzip2 or "bzcat MANIFEST.bz2 |less".)

Sometimes a file won't be listed in MANIFEST.bz2, (usually because
it's created by a package's doinst.sh). In this case, see if it's
installed on your system already, using the following command:

grep -rl filename /var/log/packages

Most of the time, if you are searching for a program, the following
should produce more relevant results:

grep -rl filename$ /var/log/packages

A very useful program is pkgcheck:
http://webplaza.pt.lu/uselpa/pkgcheck-1.1-noarch-1.tgz
which contains the "vlpcheck" command.
Install it with installpkg, see man vlpcheck and man pkgcheck.

In your case you will have to run as root:

Code:
vlpcheck update
and then as regular user:
Code:
vlpcheck which login
vlpcheck which agetty
On my system:
Code:
vlpcheck which login
login
  part : /bin/login
           shadow-4.0.3-i486-15
and
vlpcheck which agetty
agetty
part : /sbin/agetty
util-linux-ng-2.13.1-i486-1
