what command tells me what modules are loaded?
 
as stated in a previous post of mine about getting printer problems solved, i've had to modify rc.hotplug so i can't use ./rc.hotplug status to see what modules i have loaded

is there another command that will allow me to do this?

Try /sbin/lsmod :) .

Or just lsmod.
