So now lets all flame on so they will never include pam...
If you want PAM add it yourself and maintain it yourself. Ivandi, you & others have done a lot of the work with pam and Slackware. Why keep on forcing the issue? Just stick with your own project and ask others to join in to help. Let PV and the others be, maybe you'll get lucky and it will be added someday. But if this "I want PAM" rhetoric continues it might give them a reason to Never add PAM.

BTW 14.2 running great on my box! Thanks Slackware crew!

That should give the best of both worlds, with pa-reliant programs running fine, without disrupting sensitive software, like Jack.
Thanks for the suggestion and link and also thanks to dugan for his link within LQ in which Patrick states "it should be reasonably easy to disable PA" because I will try that first since I don't calculate any value received worth the unneeded complication of the already obtuse sound system in Linux.
