weird error compiling enlightenment slackbuild

Been trying to get Enlightenment to install on my 13.37 multilib. Used sbo to install most of the libraries (ecore needed the LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX}" \ fix so I manually did that). All installed correctly. Then started enlightenment itself in sbopkg. It did the 'file in wrong format' thing, so I manually dled the slackbuild, added the LDFLAGS line, and ran it. It produced this error, and I have no idea what its telling me.

Code:
checking how to recognize dependent libraries... pass_all
checking for ar... ar
checking for strip... strip
checking for ranlib... ranlib
checking command to parse /usr/bin/nm -B output from gcc -std=gnu99 object... ok

malloc: subst.c:658: assertion botched
realloc: called with unallocated block argument
Aborting..../enlightenment.SlackBuild: line 64: 16885 Aborted                 CFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS" CXXFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX}" ./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX} --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --mandir=/usr/man --disable-static --build=$ARCH-slackware-linux
anyone know what this is saying and how to fix it?

Maybe when you edited the SlackBuild to add in the LDFLAGS you might have forgotten a \ somewhere, or perhaps a misplaced "

CFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS" CXXFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS"
Shows that SLKCFLAGS was not actually defined

Or could be a bad shell. Try closing the current shell, and running the command again.

from my slackbuild file:
Code:
CFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS" \
CXXFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS" \
LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX}" \
./configure \
I just copied and pasted from the slackbuilds.org page.

tried closing out the shell and redoing it, same result

Did you copy and paste the other parts as well?

Try downloading the SlackBuild instead.

I meant that I copied the line to add to the slackbuild from the faq on slackbuilds.org, in response to your post.

The error given in the initial post is what I get when I manually do the slackbuild.

It works here on 64, 64+multilib, and 32. Searching the error returns errors about a corrupt shell. I've also seen malloc errors occur with bad RAM (malloc = memory allocation). Malloc and realloc errors can point to corrupt, or incorrectly installed glibc.

I'd revisit your mulit-lib installation and verify versions, and run memtest to be on the safe side

I've installed probably 5 or 6 other slackbuilds after getting this error, and they all work fine. Enlightenment seems to be the only one getting this error. Could it still be a glibc problem if other slackbuilds work?
