Webmin For Slack
Anyone know where I can get a Webmin.tgz file to Install In Slackware 10.2?
I download one but It ends In .tar.gz and I don't know how to convert It to .tgz Thanks |
If the file you downloaded is really a Slackware package, then you should just be able to rename it to .tgz (use mv). There's a package for Webmin here also.

It is probably not a Slackware package then, which you downloaded.
Hint: just download the current webmin tarball at http://webmin.com/ (currently that is http://webmin.com/cgi-bin/redirect.c...n-1.270.tar.gz) You need to unpack that archive and install Webmin onto your computer. This is an extremely simple procedure and the page http://webmin.com/download.html tells you the exact commands to do that for the ".tar.gz" package. Eric |
Alien Bob, thats the package I had and I couldn't get It to Install, I tried to follow those Instructions but I must have been typing something wrong.
I just downloaded the package that Nylex suggested and It Installed with no problem. Thanks for your replies |
There is a webmin package on linuxpackages.
Once it is installed it can do its own update to the lates version. |
