Talking W2k Server, making a mirror!!!

Hi guys, the question now it's not about our dear slackware, but, about windows, I got The windows 2000 server installed on my job network, but, we need to change the HD for one which has more space, well, I don't want to configure all that stuff again, dns, active directory, dhcp bla bla bla, so I want to make a image of my old HD to a new one, they have diferent sizes, one has 30 Gb the other has 120 GB, I don't know if it's a problem or not, well, I tried several programs, Norton Ghost 2003 "it doesn't install", I think because it's a windows server, I tried power quest image 2002 and it didn't install too, well that's the problem, I know that there's a way to copy the entire hard disk and it's partitions using the "Computer Management" of windows 2000, but I don't know if it works for my case,,, Any ideas? solutions,,, Thanks!!!

You could try the systemrescue cd of Partimage. Mind that NTFS support for partimage is still in its experimental stages....

Always fun to solve a Windows problem with a linux solution... good luck

i dont think your can ghost active directory.... you could try setting up a software mirror with both drives.. break the mirror swap the 120gb drive to master yank the small one...

then you could create a second partion with 90GB of free space. or you can mount the 90GB to the 30 GB giving you the full 120GB's.... either way this is probably your best solution.

boot to floppy, write these files to floppy and start ghost, proceed to ghosting to another drive, simple as that.
