you need to recompile your VMWare?
use
Code:

vmware-modconfig --console --install-all

Use the latest version (VMware Workstation 9.0.1 or equivalent VMplayer) to have compatibility with the latest kernels, including 3.2.29...

Looks like you use an old version, which have a well known vmnet building problem. OR, you maybe prefer to patch the modules sources?

i can confirm that VMWare 9.0.1 works with any latest kernel. I have used it with Linux Kernel 3.6.6 and it doesn't require any patches anymore.

./VMware-Player-5.0.0-812388.x86_64.txt --console --ignore-errors

works for me.
