vmware and slack
Im attempting to start using slackware, I have the cd and want to install it via vmware into my winxp. I boot the scsi.s kernal (it says the scsi.i isn't available, the cd is a iso). It works and I can partition my virtual drives but it can not see my cdrom. I am using a dell latitude laptop which I am dual booting with xp and slack. I just want to install slack with windows so I can easily go back and forth. Thanks

What do you need a scsi boot kernel for if you're on a laptop?

I'll answer your question first, then more of my problems; when attempting to partion my virtual disk Slackware could not see it. According to another post on this site, when using slackware and vmware you have to boot to scsi kernal. When I did that it was able to see my virtual partion and i could create it and format it accordingly. Now however i got the cd working and was able to install the o/s in vmware but once I start vmware it doesn't boot the o/s. Any suggestions? Should I post these problems in the software section? Thanks
