VLC browser plugin not showing on firefox 24.1.1
I've installed npapi-vlc-20130818-x86_64-1alien.txz package along with vlc, but unfortanetly firefox doesn't show it under Tools > Add-ons > plugins. I opened Opera and it shows without a problem.
I want to use a greasemonkey extension to view swf files, but I need the vlc web plugin to work. It's because of the firefox or the plugin version it is not working out? |
Hello, not sure if this helps but have you tried the plugin: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...flash/?src=api
also check: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...9/#post5071635 ? |
I gave up on firefox. On all browsers that I tested the plugin, it worked normaly but firefox. I've tested on Chromium and I'm very happy with it. Work like a charm. Thanks for the tip anyway.

No problem (sorry they didn't work for you,) good luck and have fun.
(In a pinch) I've had to use chromium a few times lately, stinking google and adoby are getting as bad as microcoughed. Freedom ain't free. ;) |
