actually pygobject3 can work with python3 as long as you satisfy the dependencies i mentioned
for other side effect of installing python3, i'm not really sure since i got stumbled on that one as well in the past

Yes, dependecies were satisfied of pygobject3. For whatever reason though, that combination did not play nice. Well, virt-manager did not like having pygobject3 hooking with python3.
