I'm actually a fan of Jahshaka. It's got a lot of similarities to Adobe Premier and is just fun to use and has many options.

I connected my Flip Ultra to the AA1. I found the device and files in My Documents, but didn't know how to play or copy the video from there. I tried clicking on the flipvideo.exe file but nothing happened. I'm not looking to do any editing, just viewing and/or copying the videos to my AA1 so I can then upload them to a web album.

I don't think you'll have much luck with *.exe of any nature. Have you tried playing the video file with VLC? I'm not familiar with your system. I'm actually just starting research on netbooks and came across your thread.

Have you heard of Google? It's very popular and does a reasonable job of finding things. The very first result should answer your question. Also, by this phrasing:

VLC is a nice multimedia player that plays just about anything you can throw at it. As to your original question -- are you using Windows? Because, if you are, this is a LINUX forum, and a Slackware subforum. If you are using Linux, the "My Documents" folder is odd -- and a .exe file would be basically useless (unless you try running it under WINE, but that's iffy).

This article suggests that your camcorder should get mounted as a mass storage device -- meaning you can just copy the videos to/from the device. Based on the comments in that article I can tell you have already read it (and someone replied, too!)

As for trying to transfer files under Windows, see if you can mount it as a mass storage device (ie check My Computer to see if there is an extra drive showing) and see if you can copy the files that way.

VLC is a video application for Linux. I did a quick look and saw that it is compatible with Linpus. It would be the equivalent of Media Player for a Windows user. There are many many applications you could use. I just threw that one out as a suggestion. You were looking for something simple that only plays back video.
