VIA8233a , alsa-0.9.0rc2 slack 8.1 help plz
 

Hi, my frist post.. just a few problems i am having atm with getting sound woulking in slack8.1 linux 2.4.20rc2, i installed alsa and followed the info on there site, when i load the modules

i find i can play audio cds, and a divx with an ac3 track,. but nothing else... not mp3 or anything ... i could get sound going fine with beta kernel 2.5.48 but need tobe able to install nvidia drivers so i gota try get it working in 2.4.20rc2 ... any ideas?
