Err, I'm at a little loss here. I just installed 10.2 (fresh and formatted hard drive), did the usual complete installation (I'm lazy), and everything's looking good. So, once rebooted, I proceed to build a kernel (2.6.13.2), install it and reboot. No noticable problems.
Then, I proceed to remove a couple of packages using pkgtool, but I have no list of packages to remove. According to pkgtool, I have absolutely no packages installed. Turns out that /var/log/packages and scripts are empty.
Has anyone had this problem before? Any ideas on how this could've happened?
'slocate pkgtools' still yields '/var/log/packages/pkgtools-10.2.0-i486-5' for me, so at least I know the logs used to be there. I can't find any mentions of mounting errors or partition corruption in the system logs, so I have no idea of what has wiped out my package logs.
