ValueError: Entry points must be listed in groups (Python compilation error)

Hi,

Everytime I try to compile a python package on Slackware current 64-bit + multilib it gives me following error (pip-package as example):

Code:
pip-7.1.2/setup.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "setup.py", line 90, in <module>
    cmdclass={'test': PyTest},
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/distutils/core.py", line 111, in setup
    _setup_distribution = dist = klass(attrs)
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/setuptools/dist.py", line 270, in __init__
    for ep in pkg_resources.iter_entry_points('distutils.setup_keywords'):
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/pkg_resources/__init__.py", line 706, in iter_entry_points
    entries = dist.get_entry_map(group)
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/pkg_resources/__init__.py", line 2577, in get_entry_map
    self._get_metadata('entry_points.txt'), self
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/pkg_resources/__init__.py", line 2311, in parse_map
    raise ValueError("Entry points must be listed in groups")
ValueError: Entry points must be listed in groups
I tried to reinstall python with no success. Any ideas how to fix this error?

Hi ponce,

output:

Code:
▕ -rw-r--r--▏root:root│3  mon │ 8.6K│/var/log/packages/pysetuptools-18.2-x86_64-1_SBo
▕ -rw-r--r--▏root:root│24 hour│  10K│/var/log/packages/python-setuptools-22.0.5-x86_64-1
*EDIT: I believe pysetuptools-18.2 is a duplicate and deprecated, so I removed this package. Reinstalled python-setuptools-22.0.5. Still same error.

I found the broken package giving this error: youtube-dl. I removed that package and then reinstalled it. Now the error is gone. I followed the guide from here (top-answer): http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...ython-packages.
