Using thunar to mount usb device on pekwm.
On xfce, fluxbox, and blackbox, I'm able to mount and umount usb drives with thunar. But in pekwm (and also twm) the icons for the drives don't show up in the side pane, even when they are already mounted. I googled this but couldn't find a good answer as to why this is so. Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.
I cannot respond about "pekwm", but for "twm" I strongly suspect it is with the format of xinitrc.twm and the fact there is to "/usr/bin/starttwm".
As an experiment maybe:
1. copy /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.fvwm2 to ~/.xinitrc
2. copy /usr/bin/startfvwm to ~/starttwm
3. change ~/.xinitrc, replace /usr/bin/startfvwm2 with ~/starttwm
4. change ~/starttwm to execute /usr/bin/twm
I did the same for vtwm and no major issues. Have not tested automount though
I'll try that, but for the xinitrc.pekwm I simply use xinitrc.fluxbox and switched "startfluxbox" with "pekwm". And it works with fluxbox but not with pekwm.
Right now I've found a solution by using pmount. But for those interested in using pmount, use a version greater than 0.9.19 if you have an ext4 usb storage device. All versions after that support ext4 but 0.9.19 doesn't.
