Using Swaret to upgrade automatically, and different version No's
Hi all,
Just a quick question to you, just out of curiosity.
When upgrading Slackware using Swaret with the -a switch, it will of course upgrade to all versions of new software that is found. e.g., I currently have Mplayer 0.9, but Swaret will find Mplayer 1.04, 1.05, 1.05-jim, etc. So, does it then upgrade all these packages, or just the most recent, and if it does all, do they all stay on my box, taking up uneccessary hard drive space, and causing possible conflicts?
I only ask because I have just tried to upgrade my system overnight, to find it broken the following morning, and having to resort to my install cd to fix it . Luckily it only required the re-install of the base system.
