Hi dkstr..can u pls give me the steps and codes to do this?
thanks for your help |
1. Stick the CD in the Cdrom
2. Boot up the computer 3. mount the hard drive 4. access the files Is this a Linux hard drive? are you familiar with Linux at all? I'm not trying to be insulting, I just don't really know what all your asking. If this is a Linux hard drive, and you don't know how to use Linux, then why are you trying to access someone elses files? ;) If however, you are just trying to use Linux to restore your own hard drive from another OS, and you are not familiar with Linux, let me know and I'll give you the quick and dirty on how to mount a hard drive in Linux. regards, ...drkstr |

You can use the slax cd or the slackware install cd to boot your disk. Or you could just boot the slax or slackware cd and do a mount of your hd then chroot to the system. Edit: of course then you would do your maintenance on the system to correct the problem. Then just reboot your system! |
Hi All,,thanks for all the help..I got it right this time..
