Using Konqueror as non-root

I've been running Slackware since v8.1 on my home machine. I've always run as root, but know that that's bad/wrong/evil. So, I recently made the switch to a user account. All well and good so far. Here's my question, I want to get some file from my /root and while running a root shell is obvious, I'd like to run a session of Konqueror as root. How can I accomplish that?

Do Alt & F2 then type kdesu konqueror.

In the KDE menu itself there is usually a "file manager - super user mode" .
