Using fonts in Slack 10.1

Greetings,

Recently installed Slack 10.1 with optional font packages, I can see the fonts in the konqueror fonts:/ window under personal and system. I have 2700 fonts under system and I copied a few to personal. My question is how do I get these fonts to show up in apps like the KDE control center, Konqueror, Gaim, etc. They don't show up and I only have access to about 8-10 basic fonts.

i have a ttf package for people if they want, someone give me a location and I can upload it... its in .tgz format, so once installed just log out of X and back in and you'll have lovely fonts... email me m(dot)magua(at)gmail(dot)com
