using boot and root floppy disks

Hello,

I'm trying to install Slackware with the four boot/root disks (bare.i, install.1, install.2, network.dsk). During the load of the install.1 (2nd disk) it says that /sbin/klogd doesn't exist. Then when I use dialog it says that libncurses doesn't exist and the setup program won't run.

Any help?

Its been quite some time since I did a floppy install... but the thing that allways bite me in the ass were the floppies themselve... It somehow seems hard to find decent quality floppies nowadays.

My guess would be that one of your floppies is corrupt.... but true... its a wild guess.
