USB thumb drive emulation


Is there any way to emulate a USB thumb drive (including the UUID) to the Linux OS? A virtual USB thumb drive that Linux see's as a USB device.

Why the need for linux to see the virtual USB thumb drive?

Hmm, you migh be able to do something like that by creating an image of drive contained in a bximage container. bximage comes with the bochs emulator. I'm not sure about getting the UUID, though, but bximage has some interesting uses...
