did u try adding the imwheel and the xmodmap commands i told u earlier.? to ure .xinitrc?

Odd... And the mouse to use in your ServerLayout section is Mouse1 (InputDevice "Mouse1" "CorePointer") ? Is there anything useful in X's logs?

I tried it all, and it is odd indeed. I saw nothing unusual in my logs either.

Have you tried "IMPS/2" along with ZAxisMapping "6 7" in your configuration file? There are references to "Imps2" in the thread, but I thought it had to be spelled "IMPS/2". Worth a try anyway...
