Uptime/shutdown question - server restarted without my permission

How can I find out why my server shutdown or restarted last? My uptime says 81 days, but I don't ever remember restarting it for any reason in the past year.

Perhaps it lost electrical power and auto-rebooted when power was restored.

I figured there might be a log. But where? (Besides my toilet.)

Well, I can't see anything in my log files. They only go back to the first of November for whatever reason. And the last command only displayed today and yesterday.

Thanks though. It's not really important. I was just curious.

You know something, a few months ago my PSU on my gaming rig blew up for some reason and the lights went out briefly. I didn't take notice of my server though. I do have a UPS, so I don't know why it would have cut the power. Maybe my entire place got shorted or something like that.
