Uptime
I'm just curious to see the output of $uptime on people's Slackware machines.
Code:
$ uptime |
Suspect this will be easily beaten but I'll throw it in anyway. My Slackware 12.2 server.
00:05:22 up 47 days, 14:34, 1 user, load average: 2.00, 2.00, 2.00 It has been up much longer but last went down with a power outage. |
Code:
$ uptime |
I switch mine off at night, to stop the mice downloading porn.
|
My Desktop :
Code:
$ uptime Virtual Server : Code:
$ uptime |
Ok, it is not a Slackware machine, but does it count anyway?
Code:
20:14:44 up 741 days, 7:56, 2 users, load average: 0.01, 0.03, 0.00 |

03:37:22 up 47 days, 15:04, 20 users I nearly concluded we were in the same institute (because of the power loss 47 days ago) until I saw you were in the UK. |
I often power down my Desktop if I'm not using it, or out of town, and do't need to remote. My game server running Minecraft and Mumble/Murmur:
Code:
Linux beorn 2.6.37.6-smp #1 SMP Sat Apr 9 14:01:14 CDT 2011 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux |

Yeah, I don't build up any killer uptime either as I switch my units off at night as well. |
Don't care, uptime is not important to me.
|
Code:
08:46:02 up 3 min, 4 users, load average: 1.19, 0.69, 0.29 |

Does that mean lots of people have problems with mice downloading porn? Disgusting little critters! |
My server, in sonic.net's santa rosa datacenter, running 13.1:
Code:
07:55:45 up 357 days, 17:22, 19 users, load average: 0.48, 0.24, 0.22 Code:
07:55:33 up 30 days, 20:23, 70 users, load average: 0.05, 0.18, 0.16 Been thinking of overhauling it with 14.0, a new RAID array, and enough RAM to keep a few torrents running from /dev/shm (torrents are death on disks). Of course there's no point in buying the disks and RAM (which only go down in price, the longer I wait) until Pat & friends work out the bugs in 14.0, so in the meantime it remains dark. |
Firewall - router machine with ten 1 gbps ports, with a couple of different 802.1Q bonded interfaces:
Code:
blackhole:~# cat /etc/slackware-version; uname -a; uptime |
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:19 PM. |
