upgrading kde?

I want to upgrade kde-3.3.3 to kde-3.4.1. Is there a tutorial somewhere? I've googled my Butt off and hav'nt found any good info. Can I just install all the kde-3.4.1 slackware packages and restart x? or what?

running 10.1 btw

You can upgrade to kde 3.4.2 on slackware-current.

I would advice you to do it without kde running. So, if you are on run level 4, you might want to use some other window manager while upgrading kde.

Ok thanks but Im not running "Current" Im running 10.1. is that the same process?

you can use swaret to upgrade your kde to 3.4.2

dont trust swaret for anything............just download the kde packages yourself into a seperate directory including the newer Arts package..........and from the CLI do .........
