You don't absolutely NEED the internet; but you have to get the newer packages *somehow*

So you either need to mail-order the newer CDs or DVD, or download the ISO images from internet, to burn the CD or DVD, or you can use slackpkg, which requires internet.

Failed MANY times with upgrade!
Look what I done:
Install using flopies and CD1 Slack 11.0 a (bare) => no issues
Download CD1 Slack 13.0 from internet and copy in /root/slackware directory like indicated in UPGRADE.TXT
Follow the instructions from UPGRADE.TXT:
0. telinit 1
1. upgradepkg /root/slackware/a/pkgtools-*.tgz => no issues
upgradepkg /root/slackware/a/tar-*.tgz => no issues
installpkg /root/slackware/a/xz-*.tgz => no issues
upgradepkg /root/slackware/a/findutils-*.txz => ERROR
Error: there is no installed package named findutils...

I tried also

upgradepkg --install-new /root/slackware/*/*.t?z
and I got
Pre-installing package ....
Code:
ERROR: Package /root/slackware/a/aaa ..... did not install correctly. You may need to reinstall your old package to avoid problems. Make sure the new package is not corrupted.
What packages do I need for upgrade?

do I need sources or something?
