UPgrade XINE

Hello everyone, hope each and everyone is doing well. Got a quick question , I use swaret to keep my system current but what is the easiest way to upgrade one package say Xine.99 to 1.00? Appreciate ur help!!!

Fastest way:

$ upgradepkg oldpackage.tgz%newpackage.tgz

If you dont know the name of the package you are updating/replacing (most likely), then go to pkgtool, and there remove the old package, and within the same program, install the new one. (Try to run pkgtool in the directory where the recently downloadad pkg is)

Take care.

That's only necessary if the package has changed its name (as opposed to just the version number). Usually just upgradepkg oldpackage.tgz will do the trick.
