Upgrade troubel slack 10.1 to slack 10.2

hi guys,

i was just upgrading from slack 10.1 to slack 10.2 using slapt-get --dist-upgrade

everything is upgraded except teh kernel headers and source , I am still stuck on the 2.4.29 kernel

is was trying to find te right packages but fond nothing on linuxpackages.net.

I noticed the bari.i image in the distro root but i dont want to copy paste !
</!

the message :

slapt-get --upgrade

Reading Package Lists... Done
The following packages have been EXCLUDED:
kernel-ide kernel-headers alsa-utils kernel-source aaa_elflibs devs
alsa-driver alsa-lib kernel-modules alsa-oss
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 10 not upgraded.

OK her we go :

1. is the 2.4.31 more stable an faster ? -> so is ist worth the trouble of upgrading ?

2. If so > how do i make it work ??

any ideas without compiling from source ??

why are you going to linuxpackages.net.?? just use this.........

http://mirror.linuxquestions.org/pub...ent/slackware/

the "k" dir has the kernel source pack............I think "d" dir has the kernel-ide package..............and just do a "upgradepkg" on the tarballs
