Updating Slackware 14 kernel

Slackware 14 was released with the 3.2.29 kernel. The latest version in the 3.2 series is 3.2.37.

Has anybody seen any problems with updating or seen good reason to update to 3.2.37?

Thanks.

I try to run the latest stable possible and so far 3.7.4 hasn't given me any issues...

Thanks. I'm interested in the 3.2 series. :)

I grabbed the 3.2.37 kernel and built it on Slackware 14 using pat's generic 3.2.29 config and alienbobs guide. Everything seems to be working fine so far.

Simple: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...angeLog-3.2.37
This is the Changelog of 3.2.37, count the number of bugs fixed only in this release and you don't need a better reason.

Thanks. I'm seeking personal experiences. :)

I'm not experiencing any problems (that I'm aware) with the original 3.2.29. I'm curious whether others have experienced problems and found that a subsequent version release resolved the problem.

If your hardware is working ok, you're better off sticking with 3.2 and just patching your kernel to 3.2.37 - "personal experiences", don't really come into it. Just read the changelog and decide if you want to upgrade the kernel.

I'm lazy, 3.2.29 is working ok, so thus far I haven't bothered, but probably will before long if I have some spare time...
