Updating KDE from the KDE FTP site
I do not have access to broadband, but I happen to be visiting somebody who does. Today I downloaded from the KDE FTP site the Slackware 10.2 version of KDE 3.4.3. I realize P.V. eventually will post 3.4.3 to the change log, but probably after I return home in a couple of days and once again am stuck with dial-up.
Should I be concerned about this version I downloaded or should I use P.V.'s version? Are the two versions identical? From what I understand P.V. does not change anything to the stock KDE releases, and I am thinking the two versions are/will be the same.
Thoughts and experiences from those who know are appreciated. Thanks again.
