Uncapped DSL vs capped version running on slackware server

I installed an 1024 uncapped DSL package on the server and got line and download speeds similar to that of a dail-up connection. After switching to an uncapped solution from a different ISP speeds were as good as can be expected. Are there any settings on the server that must be changed to accommodate the uncapped version? ISP Help Desk not able to provide any useful assistance.

The cap should be on their end, not yours. I can't think of anything you would need to do on the server to adjust to the increased bandwidth available.
