Typo in slackware-current/source/a/lilo/liloconfig

current tree as of 2/21/08 has a typo in source/a/lilo/liloconfig

Lines 318-320 are:
Code:

# Timeout before the first entry boots.
# This is given in tenths of a second, so 600 for every second:
timeout = 1200

and should be
Code:

# Timeout before the first entry boots.
# This is given in tenths of a second, so 600 for every minute:
timeout = 1200

Why not e-mail Pat V. about it, I don't think he comes here often so he may never see it.

It's not really worth bothering Pat for something that trivial. It does need fixing but doesn't warrant a package rebuild.

I'll make sure it gets fixed next time lilo is rebuilt.

That's hard to speculate on.

Well, ok then, I guess it's more often than I think ...

It's only a typo in the comment, anyway. If you're smart enough to use Slackware, you should know there aren't 600 tenths of a second in a second...(pauses to think)...There's only 12, right???

Galaxy66 02-22-2008 12:31 PM

That depends on if you use Imperial, U.S. Customary or Avoirdupois units of time. ;)

Already fixed in latest release of -current.
