tvtime has no sound after restart
 

hallo, after installiation everything is fine, both video and audio. I still remember I got the sound after turning on the "line in" option in the mixer. Now all settings are same, only the tvtime got no sound any longer....can anybody help?

I don't think we can help much here. I had the same problem and still stuck with it.

Anyway, maybe someone else can help you here. But you need to state what hardware you have, waht kernel are you using.

thanks carboncopy. I re-installed tvtime but nothing changed.
Currently I am using slackware 10 with kernel 2.4.26, my TV card is TERRATEC "TerraTValue". I am still hoping that somebody can give me help.

hey guys£¬ I found a point. I connected my speakers directly to the TV card, and sounds came out!! So it seems that the line in port of my sound card does not work properly.
My sound card is: Aureon 5.1 Fun, chipset is CMI8738. I am using the alsa driver of version 1.0.5, I compiled it by myself. Can anybody tell me how to active the line-in port of the sound card.
BTW, in the mixer I have turned on the line-in part.
