Trying to listen to audio-cd on laptop fails (digital extraction)
Hey folks!
Nowadays i try to play an audio-cd on my Asus-X5DIJ laptop with Slackware 13.0. All other sound-functions are working - except for audio-cd-playback -.-
So i read in another thread that one should try xmms and enable "digital audio extraction" via libcdaudio.so. I tried - with the result that xmms-1.2.11 crashes on playback immediately.
Also, "kscd" should be capable of playing audio-cd's digitally. But it doesn't seem to be installed, although the kde-multimedia package is installed.
Hope you have some hints for me on how to get audio-cd-playback working?
Regards...
EDIT:
Damn, just recocgnized that amarok blocked the pcm channel - even while the player was stopped!
That caused all my troube. Everything's fine again now.
