Trying to connect phone to Slackware

Hi all,
I have a Motorola W385 phone that i have been trying to connect to my Pc but have been unsuccessful. I have tried Moto4lin and KMobiletools but all to no avail. I have been able to get the IMEI number but using AT mode that is the only thing that is available. I have tried to use the P2k but i am not sure if i need a special library or anything for that to work. any ideas on what i could possibly do?
