Trouble with AlienBOB's FFMPEG build script

Hope i can get some assistance with AlienBOB's build script for FFMPEG.(On Slackware64-14)

It fails when it attempts to download the source for libva_0.32.0-1+sds.tar.gz
and returns errors at compile time, if i substitue it for recent libva source.
Having checked the source URL in the script, it looks like the source is no longer available.

I am hoping to build a recent FFMPEG Slackware package (ffmpeg version 2), but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why not just download the source manually from here:

http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slac.../ffmpeg/build/

Should fix all your issues... ffmpeg related at least

Patent issues, is the reason i wish to build my own. The script is able to handle both, but the build referred to is with patents applied.

Maybe this

ok... what I meant is, alienbob hosts the source you are looking for, the one from his script, right in the folder above... so if you want to download that, just change the slackbuild to point to that address instead of http://www.splitted-desktop.com/~gbeauchesne/libva/ and it should work.

Brilliant!, yes thank-you, that certainly helps.

The original source for libva_0.32 is there also.

I try to keep up with recent FFMPEG releases, and was hoping to build FFMPEG-2.0. I think it was only release a couple of weeks ago, so is very recent. Is there any way to modify the script to build FFMPEG-2.0, as it's quite difficult to build manually.

Cheers
