trouble setting up networking in Grey Cat Linux
Previoussly I had zipslack installed on my old 486 machine with 8mb ram and a 200 mb hard drive. It worked fine, and could connect to the internet after running netconfig, no problem. I found grey cat linux which is based on slack 3.5. It installs with minimal packages, but runs X. My problem now is that i cannot connect to the internet. There is no netconfig program.
How can I add a netconfig program? I know its not like windows where i can just find the .exe file online and execute it on my 486 machine. I found the netconfig files in the zipslack folders, copied the files to my 486 machine and tried running them, but it comes up with an error -diaglog- command unknown.
Can someone tell me how to either get netconfig to run properly, or how to manually configure the internet to load from a dhcp server everytime i boot
