Trouble regarding my Laptopp Display

Hey, well, I recently had some troble with my laptop, which is old so I installed Slack in there. anyway, the problem regards the display.

Let me explain. When the PC starts, the Bios and everything goes OK, but upon startup, (ie, Lilo bootup), the screen suddenly shrinks to the center of the screen. I do not thinknit has any hotkey to 'maximize the screen, cause the problem surfaces when the PC boots up(in the BIOS it is normal).

Any help here?

PD: If this helps, when I connect an external monitor, the monitor display apperas normal(fullscreen). The laptop display is a LynxEM chipset, KDS laptop display.

Any help appreciated, THANKS!

In /etc/lilo.conf comment out any vga line that includes a number,( Example #vga=773) and uncomment the vga=normal line.
Whats happening is the computer is booting with a high resolution framebuffer.
Make sure you rerun lilo, then reboot.
