trouble installing java plugin on mozilla 1,7c

Installed Mozilla 1,7 on slackware 9.1 made symbolic link for java plugin.
When I went to midnight commander to double check, the link is there but it
is in red with an exclamation point in front. This is an error I'm assuming.
Anybody have any ideas where I might have gone wrong?

I saw somewhere a really easy way to install that plugin, I'm gonna try to find it and get back to you.

the red link probably means that the target doesn't exist. it might be the case that you did not properly link the plugin.
try this : java

but see that you have java installed and the directory name of the plugin is correct
