Tor and Vidalia

Hi All,

I have built and installed tor and vidalia using the slackbuilds from slackbuilds.org. /etc/rc.d/rc.tor is executable and starts fine on boot. However, I can only get vidalia to connect to tor by stopping tor once I have booted and restarted with vidalia.

Two possible solutions are:

1) tell vidalia to connect to the already running instance of tor-I can't figure out if this is possible.

2) keep /etc/rc/d/rc/tor executable but stop it from being loaded on boot-exploring this option but not there yet.

Any advice or comments appreciated!

OK, just figured out that /etc/rc,d/rc.tor is only relevant for boot time starting of tor. Vidalia can start tor when rc.tor is -x. Seems blindly obvious now that I think about it.
