Tip. Want to install 64-current through VirtualBox with EFI ? Use a 64 bit host.


... Don't waste your time trying to do that on a Slackware 32 bit host, as I first did. Booting would fail.

Same here but on a real machine. I even tried Fedora 18 (please do not tell anyone in this forum), but I did not make any progress.

This seems to suggest that the end of the road for the 32 bit OS is near. Bit-torrent seeders have reported more traffic for Slack64 than Slack32 and I can corroborate it. Personally I am very skeptical about the advantages of 64 over 32 bit OS.
