Thunderbird 3.0

Hello there !

I try to find a slackbuild file for Thunderdird 3.0 and Slack 13.0 (I use 64 bits version).

Slacky.eu and Slackbuilds.org do not have it...

Any address where i can find that ?

Anyboby know if this version of Thunderbird will be included soon in Slackware "current" ?

Thanks a lot.

Philippe

xap/gimp-2.6.8-i486-1.txz: Upgraded.
This fixes integer overflows in the image handling plugins that could
lead to the execution of arbitrary code or an application crash if a
malicious image is loaded.

I'm afraid you'll have to do that yourself. Hari-kiri (or Seppuku) is suicide. If I help you then it would be murder ;-)

TB 3.0 is a wonderful upgrade from the Mozilla people, but, it is *not* offered for Slackware 13.0. I'm running TB 3.0 in -current and I love it.

If you want it on Slackware 13.0 it's probably best to grab the sources & SlackBuild and build a package yourself.
You can always try installing the -current package on 13.0 and see what happens, but no warranties in that case...

Thanks Eric. I went ahead with building it on my Slack13.0 and upgraded from 2 to 3. It works fine.

Shylock,

Did you build Thunderbird by modifying the Slackware 13 SlackBuild script? If not, how did you build it?

Regards,

Indeed, you are not allowed to re-distribute a binary build of Thunderbird or Firefox containing "official branding", i.e. like Slackware builds it, unless you have explicit permission from Mozilla Corp.

Remove the branding and call it "Lightningbat".

i removed the link and the file from my repo, it was easier and painless

tnx alien bob for the tip.

EDIT: trying for fun to build lightningbat without --enable-official-branding configure parameter, will post back the link
btw, having an official slack64-13.0 package will be a great thing
