Latest KDE from Alienbobs repository (current). Theme inspired by Ubuntu Ambiance.

For the KDE plasma and Window decoration theme I used the files mentioned here: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2013/02/u...asma-theme-kde. You can find my QtCurve-config file (You need QtCurve to install the Ambiance decoration theme) here: http://alexsson.hopto.me/wp-content/...KDE-Ubuntu.zip.

I also modified the Spotify system-tray icon. If interested, you can download the modified system/tray icon from here: http://alexsson.hopto.me/wp-content/.../resources.zip, and put it (UNEXTRACTED) in: /opt/spotify/spotify-client/Data/ (you should remove/overwrite the current resources.zip file). It should work for version 0.9.11.27.

I am trying to not to use mouse at all. I usually have only 3 windows opened - fx, xterm and Emacs. This is what my desktop looks like:

I prefer a spartan desktop, so I am curious and intrigued to know what the 'fx' is that you refer to. I have searched for it, but nothing that turns up leads me to believe I am on the right track.

'fx' just means Firefox.

New KDE screenshot for next February. I was tired of Numix icons so I start looking for flat minimal icons somewhere else. I found the underestimated Flamini icon set: http://kotusworks.deviantart.com/art...-KDE-437738820, made by KotusWorks. You should visit his dA-page here: http://kotusworks.deviantart.com/ where you will find some nice icon sets.

Failing to get AlienBOBs KDE 5 to work I went back to my old and trusty friend, Fluxbox!

Inspired by KDE 5 artworks I came up with something like this.: http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...rx-d8g0re9.png

Wow, very cool. And surely much lighter/quicker than KDE!

I wanted to post a screenshot of my lazy comfortable customized desktop, but im too lazy to actually unhide everything and bother taking the screenshot. Its an xfce panel, gkrellm, fluxbox and rox for the file manager and desktop shortcuts.
It looks pretty ok, nothing to write home about, guess you all will have to take my word for it.

Boring but functional... fresh installation with xfce, faenza icons, blah, blah, blah.
