This is how I do it all, where can I get the rest?

I was wondering if anyone had a cached version of his website or a copy somewhere? Using the Google cache I found some of it but It stops at the part where he starts talking about getting a web server up. http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a
If anyone has a copy it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

A howto for what ? Usually the slackbook is the best reference for slackware. You can also check the slackware suggestions wiki for lots of links, all these link are in my sig.

I was just wondering what it took to turn a Slackware box into a webserver.

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://...is-a-geek.com/ - this is the archive of his site. Note that it hasn't been updated since 2007 so much of the info may be waaay out of date. Make sure you refer to more recent documentation when trying to apply any of his methods.

As root
Code:
chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.httpd
sh /etc/rc.d/rc.httpd restart
viola, instant basic set up of a server that will start now and on reboot. I don't know the intricacies of all the options but you can reed through configure files in /etc/httpd.

The webserver by default will access files from /var/www/htdocs

To see if it works, use your local IP address in your browser bar. It should display "IT WORKS" by default.
