Yipee:-) I'm downloading the first of three install CDs right now. I'm hoping I can get the first one done and then start #2 before I go to bed.
This is a great day to be a Slacker! Thank you, Patrick!!

Does anyone have the hash for slackware-11.0-source-d4.torrent
and slackware-11.0-source-d6.torrent ?
I have the hash for 1, 2, 3, and 5 -- but not 4 or 6 -- or the DVD.

Check your md5sums

For those who might be new to downloading huge files ...
Code:
mingdao@paul:/backup2/Slackware-11.0/slackware-11.0-iso$ cat slackware-11.0-install-d1.iso.md5
a7cfcb4be158beca63af21b3b4dbc69c slackware-11.0-install-d1.iso
mingdao@paul:/backup2/Slackware-11.0/slackware-11.0-iso$ md5sum slackware-11.0-install-d1.iso
a7cfcb4be158beca63af21b3b4dbc69c slackware-11.0-install-d1.iso
Check your md5sum before you burn a CD/DVD.

There are enough threads on the net where somebody couldn't install
because a bad image had been used to burn the media.

Or you can use the torrents, doesn't bittorent have md5 built in, or something like that, to make sure each piece is valid?

Hey, cool, it's finally here! I pre-ordered a DVD a few weeks ago. I wonder how long before it ships? I might just go ahead and get in on the torrent.

I wish I could figure out how to do that rsync thing so I can have a local mirror of current from 11.0 going forward. We'll see. Maybe I'll figure it out this time.

YEAH! Finally! I've got server's I'm in the middle of bilding for customers, and have had to put them all on hold, since I knew slack-11 was about to be released! Now, I can get back to work! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! I screamed so loud, my neighbors complained when I found out 11.0 was finally final! And, to top that off, I moved this weekend, and had a hell of a time getting my main server back online, as comcast blocked my two main ports, 25 and 80, for my mail and web servers, and thought I was screwed! After sweating and stressing a crapload, worrying about the 400+ people who use my servers for email and web sites, I decided to try a new NIC, thinking maybe comcast cable blocked the mac address of the nic I was using, and low and behold, my ports were no longer blocked! So, I have a double whammy, with both my servers back online and not blocked, but the ultimate Linux disto which I totally rely on for both my personal and business needs!

Thanks Pat and the rest of the slackware community for making this happen, and for helping me to make a living promoting slackware linux!!!

Currently d/l'ing the dvd.iso. I'm surprised there are not more seeds though! This is gonna take days for the dvd iso... Oh, well, I've waited this long, and another couple of days will just give me some time to unpack boxes..

I downloaded the bittornado.tgz from the slackware package browser, but when I install via pkgtool nothing appears to happen, and I cant find any indication it installed.

Anyone willing to give me a pointer while you wait for your torrent to download?

Please?

Yes: ftp://ftp.lip6.fr/pub/linux/distribu...ware-11.0-iso/. It was the first one I found, so there might be others.
